The source of Alternative Dispute Resolution information, resources and expertise in Alberta › Forums › Forum: Communications in ADR July 2021 › Introduction – Peg Quinn
Hi everyone! My name is Peg Quinn. I am excited to be participating in your learning journey during this course. I am a graduate of the School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. For many years I practiced in Human Resources specializing in labour relations, grievances, and employee relations. I was not comfortable with the confrontational style of conflict resolution and I thought there had to be a better way. That’s when I discovered the Conflict Management program. These skills resulted in many successfully negotiated collective agreements, grievances, and employee conflicts. They can be used in the workplace, or in your personal life, and can make such a difference to how conflicts are ultimately resolved. I hold the Qualified Mediator designation and through my private practice I focus on workplace mediations, coaching, case development, facilitation and training. I also participate on the Civil Court Resolution Services and Mediation Restorative Justice Centre rosters. I am looking forward to working with all of you!
