Biography
Monica Kreiner, M.Ed., is a Chartered Mediator, a national designation from the ADR Institute of Canada. She mediates on the Alberta Justice Civil Court and Family Mediation rosters, and on the National Farm Debt Mediation Roster.
Monica is the primary in Moniyasko Consulting Ltd. which engages in applied social research, mediation, facilitation and writing. She adjudicates workload appeals between the Government of Alberta and the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees. She facilitates strategic planning workshops. Monica has worked with First Nations to develop Restorative Justice programming. She has prepared Gladue Reports which are pre-sentencing reports for Indigenous offenders that look at restorative alternatives to incarceration.
ADR Training & Qualifications
Monica has earned Certificates in Interest Based Mediation and Conflict Management from the Appropriate Dispute Resolution Institute of Alberta.
Other Professional Qualifications
Monica has a master’s degree in International and Intercultural Education specializing in Native Education. As a student of the Cree worldview, Kreiner has spent the last 30 years learning about culture and language from elders and teachers.
