Overview

Louis has been practicing law in Alberta since 1989, and has been a practicing member of ADRIC and ADRIA since 2011. He received his Q.Arb designation in April 2021. He is retained frequently as either mediator or arbitrator in a wide variety of corporate, commercial, construction, condominium and general civil litigation matters.

Louis brings a depth of experience and knowledge in both regular litigation and ADR. He is known for his direct, no nonsense, solution oriented approach to disputes.  He permits parties to shape their own proceedings as much as possible, but will not hesitate to direct the process where it is needed to ensure timely resolution.  He firmly believes that ADR processes are vital for the renewal of the civil justice system.
