Biography
John has dedicated his career to be an unbiased and independent valuation consultant. To quote from an Alberta Court of Appeal decision [2018 ABCA 310], “Farmer’s accurate, absolute, certified opinion, which ought to have been accepted as the only reliable expert opinion,” speaks to the quality, consistency and impartiality of his analysis, aiming towards the highest professional standards as an appraiser.
He has been accepted as an expert witness before the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, Alberta Surface Rights Board and an arbitration matter in the Northwest Territories. He was sole arbitrator for a commercial lease dispute Nov 2020 and since then, completed two further tribunal arbitrations in 2022.
