Hi – My name is Tara O’Donovan, and I work in Engagement with the Canada Energy Regulator (CER). I have worked with this department for nearly 18 years, based in Calgary, Alberta. I moved here for this job from Whitehorse, Yukon.
I started at the CER in a communications role, but have always desired to work front line with people. I have been privileged to work on a project for the last 18 months that was a collaborative process with a number of First Nations and Metis communities. I have realized as I work to bring the project to a natural conclusion that collaborative processes are not well understood, and Government organizations find it difficult to execute.
I am hoping this course will provide me with some of the skills needed to help me navigate this project and others.
When I am not working I am busy with my twin girls (who are nearly 14,) my husband Sean, and our dog Strider who is a mini-ausiedoodle.
