David Helmer – Introduction

Good Evening,

My name is David Helmer. I am a senior advisor, regulatory at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER). I am excited to learn more on the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and would like to participate more in this role at the AER. While at my previous employer, Alberta Environment, I have participated in mediation processes and feel that this is a much more preferable way to bring about resolution over that of the formal hearing processes.

My education is technical and that certainly is my comfort area.
