Mediation Role-Play Practice Groups

If you are looking for more practice in skill integration, ADRIA’s role play practice series can be tailored to your needs. Participants will be placed in groups of three and assigned role-plays in which they will be either the mediator, or one of the parties. Each group will be assigned one coach to help, and are ready to give you feedback based on your goals.

Course Details:

The role-play schedule for the three sessions will be assigned in advance and available for review. Each session is 2.5 hours in length and will include one 90 minute Role-play, feedback and questions. Each individual will have the chance to Mediate once over the three sessions, and act as a role-player in the remaining roleplays. All individuals will be encouraged to participate in the question and answers and feedback portions to further help strengthen their skills as well.

Each group will have a coach that will provide feedback on skill integration. The coaches will not be doing skill drills or completing role-play evaluation forms. The focus of these sessions is role-play practice with verbal feedback from the coaches, so it will be important you share your goals for taking the course with your coach so they can give feedback accordingly.

*This course will be presented online. In order to participate in this format, students must be available during session times without distraction. In addition, students require a strong internet connection, a computer with a webcam, and a microphone.

Registration:

Registration is only open to those that have completed basic mediation training (National Introductory Mediation or Equivalent)

As you can see, there are no set dates for this course. If you are interested, please email education@adralberta.com. Once we have 3 individuals who would like to participate, ADRIA will send out a survey for the three students to choose which dates will work best for all three of them to complete the 3 sessions. The sessions will take place online via zoom.

To enroll in this course, participants must have completed basic mediation training. This prerequisite underscores our commitment to assembling a cohort of dedicated individuals who bring some experience to the learning environment.

Participants are expected to attend all three sessions.
