Karen has over 20 years of experience in the business/financial world. She is experienced as a Financial Planner, Stockbroker, Insurance Agent, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Chartered Mediator, innovator and entrepreneur. She designed a unique model and business for successfully moving people through divorce, which is both transformative for the parties (including the children) and ensures financially sound decisions.

Karen is the author of the best-selling book “Clean Break”, a regular writer and blogger for Huffington Post and sought after by various media outlets for her advice and speaking.

Karen is passionate about changing the way divorce happens. When her divorce cost her over $500,000 in legal bills alone, she knew there had to be a better way. Given her entrepreneurial spirit, business successes and over 20 years as a professional in the financial world, she endeavored to develop a strategic process that would offer clients a result driven model to successfully move people through divorce. Soon after, Fairway Divorce Solutions® was born and Clean Break was written.

While Karen oversees the national operations of both the corporate and franchise locations, she also continues to work directly with high net worth clients whose files offer both emotional and financial complexities.

She has had notable media coverage such as: Readers Digest, BNN, The Social, Avenue Magazine, CTV, Family Matters TV, USA Today and various newspapers including the Globe and Mail. She is a regular writer for Huffington Post and is in the process of writing her next two books.
