Biography
Justin founded FairPlay Mediation with a genuine desire to help others navigate conflict in a less formal setting; one that prioritizes the human desire to be heard and have a say in outcomes that affect them.
Having experienced first-hand the stress and co-parenting turmoil typically associated with a traditional divorce process, Justin quickly understood the value in finding mutually beneficial solutions while fostering open, respectful communication between parties.
Justin is a single father, a combat Veteran of the British Army and police officer with 17 years of law enforcement experience. Each of these roles has given him extensive experience communicating and problem solving under circumstances that are as diverse as the individuals involved. In mediation, he is committed to actively listening and understanding your goals before tailoring a unique approach to meet them collaboratively.
Justin is a Qualified Mediator with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada, and a member of the Alberta Family Mediation Society. He also gives back to fellow Calgarians by volunteering with Community Mediation Calgary Society, a grass roots initiative that helps locals resolve disagreements.
On his own time, Justin enjoys the outdoors and can be found taking advantage of Alberta’s natural beauty, typically with his young sons in tow.
