Biography
Gloria Lechky is a Chartered Mediator assisting people deal with conflict situations since 2000, in government, in the private sector and not-for-profit agencies. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business and has taken extensive training in Conflict Resolution and Adult Learning Principles.
Gloria has dealt with workplace conflicts such as harassment, grievances, labor / management disputes and issues between co-workers. She has helped individuals including co-workers, managers, divorcing couples, parents and teens, neighbours in conflict, and victims and offenders in a variety of situations to resolve their differences with one another.
Gloria has developed and delivered customized communication skills and conflict resolution workshops in government and in her private practice, Relationship Mastery Coach. Formerly an instructor with the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society (now ADRIA), she currently coaches in their Conflict Resolution Program.
As a Conflict Coach, Gloria shows her clients how to stop repeating patterns that have not worked in the past and caused difficult relationships and hardship in their lives. She teaches them how to deal with difficult and challenging people and situations and how to get what they want out of their relationships in a respectful and forthright manner. She also works with groups in conflict to help them identify problems, have open discussions about how they would like things in the workplace to be and then together as a team come up with solutions that work for everyone involved.
Gloria works in person or by phone as she helps clients through conflict situations or in preparation of having a difficult conversation.
