Biography
Gayle, a citizen of Otipemisiwak Métis Goverment, Métis Nation of Alberta, provides mediation, consulting, and training in ADR restorative resolution services for schools, human resources/workplaces, leadership teams, the criminal justice system, and child and family services.
True Dialogue is an official partner with the International Institute for Restorative Practices (www.iirp.edu) and provides services in Alberta and across Canada.
ADR Training & Qualifications
Gayle Desmeules earned a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training, holds a Q. Med, and is a member of the ADR Institute of Alberta and Canada. Métis person with 30 years of experience facilitating community development initiatives. She mediates and facilitates restorative resolution processes in response to conflicts and misconduct issues in the workplace and citizen complaints with formal authorities such as the police service, post-secondary academic integrity incidents, and workplace conflicts—instructor for the International Institute for Restorative Practices and the Alberta Restorative Justice Association. Delivers training in Peacemaking and engaging in Authentic Conversations. Formally an Expert Panel Member of the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat to inform recommendations on designing a Restorative Engagement Program for the Federal Public Service, and currently works part-time for Global Affairs Canada as an Informal Conflict Management Practitioner. True Dialogue provides certificate training in family group conferencing and restorative justice facilitation skills training.
