Want to take your training further? Earn a Certificate in Separation & Divorce Mediation, or Consensus-Decisions Making. 

Program Certificate in Separation & Divorce Mediation

This program certificate trains mediators to work in the field of separation and divorce:

  • practice mediating the issues common to separation and divorce including parenting plans, child support, spousal support, and division of property
  • know how to screen clients and prepare them for mediation, including safe practices for identifying and working with situations of domestic violence, addictions and mental health challenges 
  • leave the course with tools and resources to use in your practice, including valuable reference materials and templates 

Apply for the Program:

The study for this program certificate is available by application only, and is advanced training. Students need to have completed Basic Mediation training prior to applying.

Working toward a Q. MED Family, or in the field of family mediation? Apply for the Separation and Divorce Advance Mediation training program. Details on how to apply can be found on our application form. You can choose to apply for the whole program, or apply for courses individually.

Program Certificate in Consensus Decision Making

Consensus Decision Making (CDM) is a process by which various and potentially diverse stakeholders agree to work together towards finding mutually acceptable solutions to complex issues.  Solutions  include plans for what each stakeholder will do to implement of the final agreement.
