Understanding the Dynamics of Domestic Violence for Family Law Practitioners
PATHS designed this training for staff at our member agencies. This training is designed to help you better support and offer services to survivors of intimate partner and family violence. The training consists of ten modules, which include our philosophy, types of IPV, children exposed to IPV, working with diverse clients, trauma-and-violence-informed practice, reducing barriers, professional skills, self-care for IPV professionals, and legislation that can assist survivors of IPV in Saskatchewan.
CPD CREDITS NOTES:
15 hours for Continuing Professional Development credits (4.5 hours of Ethics credits) with the Law Society of Saskatchewan
16 ADRIC Continuing Education & Engagement (CEE) credits to persons with a Q or C Med designation.
Also approved for 16 hours of training for persons applying for a Q. Med designation.
15 hours for Continuing Professional Development credits with Law Society of British Columbia• Alberta, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, and Yukon lawyers: consider including this course as a CPD learning activity in your annual Continuing Professional Development Plan
