This program is designed to provide relevant, hands-on and practical information and give an introduction to the arbitration process. This course is nationally accredited by the ADR Institute of Canada.

*This course will be presented online. In order to participate in this format, students must to be available from 9:00 to 5:00 daily without distraction during class time. There will be a 1-hour break for lunch in which students can log off. In addition, students require a strong internet connection, computer with a webcam and microphone. 

Part 1: September 14, 15 & 16, 2020 (Mon-Wed)
Part 2: October 19 & 20, 2020 (Mon-Tues)  

Attendance for all 5 days is mandatory

Total Credit Hours: 40

Cost: $3,000 + GST

Please remember

  • This course requires 2-4 hours of pre-course reading.  Students are sent the pre-course reading (via email) to complete before the start of the course. It is important to complete this pre-course reading.
  • This course is presented by lectures, class exercises, and group discussions. Please be prepared for homework each night.   
  • Students should expect to spend approximately 10-20 hours between Parts 1 & 2 on writing a Practice Arbitration Award. 
  • Students are evaluated on the writing of an Arbitration Award based on a case study. On the final day of class, students will be presented with the case study. They will have 30-days to write the Final Arbitration Award and submit it to the office for grading. You must pass this evaluation to receive a certificate of course completion. You can expect to spend 15-30 hours to write this final award.
