This program is designed to provide relevant, hands-on and practical information and give an introduction to the arbitration process. This course is nationally accredited by the ADR Institute of Canada.

October 1, 2, 3 - Part 1 (Mon-Wed)
November 12 & 13 Part 2  (Mon-Tues)  
Attendance for all 5 days is mandatory

Total Credit Hours: 40

  • This course requires 2-4 hours of pre-course reading.  Students are sent the pre-course reading (via email) to complete before the start of the course.   It is important to complete this pre-course reading.
  • This course is presented by lectures, in-class exercises, and group discussions.   Please be prepared for homework each night.   
  • Students are evaluated on the writing of an Arbitration Award based on a case study.  In addition to the 15-30 hours students should budget for writing the Final Award, students should also expect to spend approximately 10-20 hours between Parts 1 & 2 on writing the Practice Award. This evaluation must be passed to receive a certificate of course completion.
