SUMMARY:ADRIA Lunch and Learn: Client Preparation Tools for ADR – Enhancing the Client Experience by Helping Clients Learn
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADR professionals commit to deep and ongoing training so we can do excellent work.\n\n\n\nBut what about the clients?  \n\n\n\nCanadian lawyer and mediator, Jacinta Gallant, asked herself this question in 2017: \n\n\n\nCan we enhance the client experience by supporting their learning? In this workshop, Jacinta will introduce the digital tools she created to help clients be more self-reflective and engaged, so they can participate more effectively in their dispute resolution process. We will learn how to efficiently and meaningfully manage important discussions around values, decision-making, conflict, communication – and even trust. \n\n\n\nWith a better prepared client, you can deliver higher valued services in mediation, collaboration negotiation and even litigation.  Jacinta will share how clients report feeling more grounded and hopeful. They describe a “breath of fresh air” as they discover things about themselves, and this helps them open up to more possibilities for resolution. Do you want to work in a way that prepares clients through self-discovery and learning? That helps them help themselves so you can focus on what they need from you? Join us.\n\n\n\nBIO\n\n\n\nJacinta Gallant ( http://www.jacintagallant.ca/ ) is a respected Canadian collaborative lawyer, mediator and educator. She is recognized internationally for her insightful and experiential approach to teaching and managing conflict, and has been welcomed as a trainer throughout the world.  Jacinta’s innovative resources, Our Family in Two Homes ( https://www.intwohomes.com/ ), and Designing Our Future Together ( https://intwohomes.com/products/relationship-pack ) help clients prepare to engage deeply, and productively, with their chosen DR professionals. Jacinta’s podcast, The Authentic Professional, focuses on how professionals can bring more of who they are to what they do, and her latest book, Going Steady ( https://goingsteadytoolkit.com/ ), helps engage couples in conversations that sustain and nourish their relationship. \n\n\n\nJacinta’s ultimate goal is to help conflict professionals engage with clients in a more meaningful way, manage conflict more effectively, and get more enjoyment out of this important work. \n\n\n\n\n
